Biome BGC Presentations at 2010 GLBRC Annual Retreat

Tom Gower and Puneet Kishor gave two separate presentations at the 2010 GLBRC Annual Retreat in South Bend, Indiana, on May 18, 2010.

Tom's presentation focused on the issues surrounding woody biomass as a biofuel feedstock. Tom discussed the pros and cons of biofuels versus natural forests, and the ramifications of biofuels. Puneet's presentation gave an introduction to Biome BGC, focused on the data needs of the model, and on the future direction that the Carbon Model team is considering, including the use of multiple climate data scenarios and making the data easily accessible to the wider community.
